I read it. I take her at her word about her experiences, she was there and I wasn't. What I wrote was what I witnessed, not once but over many years, and I stand by that too. Both can be true of one person, and I think grief is big enough to hold that.
Ari, thank you for the post. How lucky that the two of you were able to get to know each other and become friends. I loved ONCE, and appreciated so many of his musical adventures, as well as his advocacy for the homeless. If you haven’t seen Shane MacGowan’s funeral service on YouTube, check it out. Glen was, apparently, instrumental in getting all the acts together, and gives an incredible and touching performance. Now, he’s on the other side with Shane and Sinead. RIP.
yes he was always such a team player. I don’t know if I’m a religious man but I do like the idea of there being strong teams on the other side, especially in these troubled times…
Ari, I am truly sorry for the loss of your friend, Glen. What a beautiful series of encounters you had with him. So nice that we can partake through those two videos. My sincere condolences on the loss of your father too. Thank you for sharing this powerful post.
Great piece. Any thoughts on that Neko Case article?

Well said. Thanks, Ari.
Yup! As much as life is about the places you go, it’s really even more about the people you meet.
